🟢 Pros of a PDF Portfolio:

• Easy to create.
• You have precise control over layout and presentation.
• Can be viewed offline once downloaded.
• It is easy to email as an attachment.
• It can also be printed if needed.
• It looks the same across devices.
• There are no additional costs.
• Can be easily customized for each application.
• You can use it for slides in an interview (although I would recommend to have a separate deck for this purpose).

🔴 Cons:

• It’s not accessible from anywhere easily. You need to have access to the file.
• Having your own URL looks more professional and is generally a requirement in the industry.
• You can't include animations or interactivity easily.
• It’s not as easy to share a PDF in Slack or Email as a link to a website.
• Once sent, you cannot update it.
• It needs to be downloaded.
• It requires a keen eye on file-size. Optimization is key.
